How to Avoid Heating and Air Conditioning Tricks this Halloween
You don’t have to suffer if your heating and air conditioning system turns into a pumpkin this Halloween. There are options to get you back to being comfortable as soon as possible. And while investing in a new home comfort system at the end of 2020 may not have been in your plans, there are several ways to make the price tag a little less scary.
City of Tallahassee Financing
Tallahassee’s publicly owned utilities offer financing options for qualified residential customers. This includes financing for energy-saving air conditioners, natural gas furnaces, electric heat pumps and insulation. Your payments will be part of your monthly utility bill. Financing can be stretched to five years for most installations and interest is 5 percent. The minimum loan amount for these appliances is $500 and the maximum is $10,000. Customers must get an energy audit before being approved.
Carrier Credit Card
You can also apply for the Carrier credit card through Wells Fargo to pay for your new Carrier home comfort system. Some special terms may be available, such as no interest if the balance is paid in full within a promotional period. Additionally, you will receive special offers and online bill payment. If the balance is not paid off, interest will be charged from the purchase date. For new accounts, the APR for new purchases is 28.99 percent.
Rent-to-Own Financing
You can also get a new home comfort system through Microf rent-to-own financing. Get affordable monthly payments for your new Carrier system for 36, 48 or 60 months with minimal financial requirements needed for approval.
Rebates and Coupons
There’s also plenty of rebates to help cut the cost of a new system. Barineau Heating and Air Conditioning offers $250 on the purchase of any new system with a Total Comfort Service Program for care and maintenance. Carrier also offers up to $1,200 in Carrier Cool Cash rebates and Tallahassee public utilities customers can get up to $1,050 rebate on the purchase of a qualifying energy efficient system. Duke Energy customers can get up to $800 rebate with an energy efficient system.
Don’t forget that a new system may save you money in the long run. Newer systems are more efficient than their older counterparts, which may mean lower energy bills.
