Staying Comfortable in this Crazy Winter Weather

Just a few weeks ago, Tallahassee saw a measurable amount of snow for the first time in nearly three decades. Then, a few days later, temperatures were in the mid-70s. That’s just the way winter goes in north Florida and south Georgia. It’s not unusual to run both your heating and air conditioning in the same 24-hour period.

Whatever the temperature is outside, we’re proud to help keep local folks comfortable in their homes throughout the year, whether it’s January or July, 30 or 100 degrees, snowing or sunny.

To keep your home comfortable, and your energy use low, we recommend that you avoid making extreme adjustments to your thermostat during these periods of unstable weather. The best thing to do is set your heat and air conditioning to the temperatures that traditionally work for your family and leave them there. While we don’t know if we’ll see any more snow this year, we do know that relief is on the way, as spring is almost here. Springtime in Tallahassee isn’t just a one-day festival, it’s a season that has a reputation for bringing some of the year’s best weather.

As we approach spring, keep in mind that the next couple of months are a great time to make sure your home comfort system is equipped to take on the summer heat. Don’t wait until it’s too late to prepare your system for the summer. If you haven’t already, give us a call to schedule your maintenance check and tune-up through our Total Comfort Service Program.
